Product Description
RISHENG manufactures GCr15 bearing steel balls for rolling bearings, linear motion assemblies and custom mechanical components. Made from high-carbon chromium bearing steel, these balls are supplied in a hardened condition for applications requiring wear resistance and controlled rolling-contact geometry.
Our published supply range covers diameters from 0.5 to 25.4 mm, precision grades from G10 to G1000, and hardness of HRC 60–66. The available combination of diameter, ball grade and hardness is confirmed for each order.

GCr15 balls can be specified for deep-groove, angular-contact and thrust ball bearings. Selection should follow the bearing design, including ball diameter, dimensional consistency, surface condition and lubrication requirements.
For motor-bearing projects, provide the ball drawing or confirmed ball specification. A bearing series number alone may not identify the correct ball diameter for every manufacturer's design.
For recirculating ball assemblies, the required ball diameter and gauge should be identified together with the precision grade. These details are relevant to assembly clearance or preload and should follow the component drawing.
GCr15 balls may also be evaluated for mechanical assemblies requiring hardened steel contact surfaces. Send details of the mating component, movement, lubrication and working environment with the inquiry.
Hardened GCr15 chrome steel balls combine a hard material condition with a finished spherical surface. The required hardness and dimensional criteria should be assessed together for the intended application.
GCr15 is not stainless steel. Moisture, condensation and unsuitable storage conditions can cause corrosion. Rust protection, packaging and handling requirements therefore form part of the supply specification.
Packaging requirements should reflect the ball specification, storage period and transport conditions. Anti-rust protection and export packing can be discussed when the order is reviewed.
Specify the information required on the package label:
GCr15 material designation;
Nominal diameter and precision grade;
Ball gauge, where applicable;
Batch or lot identification;
Quantity or net weight;
Customer part number and purchase order reference.

G identifies rolling-bearing steel, Cr identifies chromium as the main alloying element, and 15 represents a nominal chromium level of approximately 1.5%.
GCr15 and AISI 52100 are comparable high-carbon chromium bearing steels, but they are specified under different material systems. The required standard and chemical limits should be confirmed before production.
Through-hardened GCr15 balls typically achieve HRC 60–66. Final hardness depends on diameter, heat treatment and the confirmed order specification.
G10 production can be reviewed according to the required diameter, gauge, quantity, surface condition and inspection criteria.
Non-standard metric and inch diameters can be evaluated according to tooling, precision grade, quantity and inspection requirements.
Material certificates and additional inspection reports can be arranged when specified and confirmed before production.
