Product Description
RISHENG manufactures drilled steel balls to customer drawings, with the ball and the hole supplied together as finished parts. Through holes, blind holes and threaded holes are available in stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel and bearing steel. They are used where a ball must be fixed, threaded, pinned or assembled onto a shaft, such as decorative fittings, fixtures, sensors, valve parts and mechanical assemblies. If you need undrilled blanks to machine yourself, see our Annealed Steel Balls and Alloy Steel Balls.
A through hole passes completely through the ball for a pin, rod or other mating component. Specify the hole diameter, fit and edge treatment at both openings. Where the hole provides accurate location, include its position relative to the ball centre or drawing datums.
A blind hole enters from one side without passing through the ball. Specify the usable full-diameter depth separately from the total drill depth, which may include the drill-point region. If the hole bottom locates the mating part, define its shape and the required insertion depth.
Threaded holes provide a connection to a matching screw or threaded rod. Include the thread specification and effective engagement depth. Blind threaded holes, offset holes and multiple-hole designs require a drawing-based feasibility review.

Discuss the material, ball surface, hole geometry and mating-part requirements in the same enquiry. This helps establish a clear specification for quotation.
Sample requirements and first-article inspection can be discussed for custom projects. Identify the dimensions and assembly checks that must be approved before production quantities proceed.
Agree the drawing revision, batch-identification requirements, packaging and surface protection. For parts entering a clean assembly process, specify any restrictions on protective oils or residues.
Low carbon steel, stainless steel and bearing steel can be submitted for review. State the exact grade and required delivery condition. The material list for standard solid balls should not be treated as confirmation that every grade is available in every drilled configuration.
These configurations can be reviewed against your drawing. Manufacturing feasibility depends on the material, ball diameter, hole size, depth, tolerances and final condition. Special features are confirmed individually during quotation.
Dimensions and tolerances are confirmed for the specific design. Provide the ball diameter, hole diameter, depth and mating-part requirements together. A ball precision grade does not replace separate tolerances for the hole or its position.
Sample arrangements and inspection documents can be discussed before ordering. Specify the required sample quantity, critical dimensions, report format and any assembly checks. Sample timing, MOQ and production lead time are confirmed with the quotation.
